Julia's Bloomin' 9 Patch is finished!

Julia's King Size Bloomin' 9 is beautiful!

The quilting design is called Gilded and it's from our Anne Bright collection.

Wool batting keeps these king size quilts from getting too heavy.  Also, if you work a lot with Batik's, then you know that some tend to have a stiff hand.  The wool counters this nicely!

Sharon's OBW is Finished!!

This wall hanging is some kind of wonderful!  That's what it is....
And it's a true one block wonder.  What I mean is, each of the hexagon blocks received the same design.  In the above photo, it may look like like an overall quilting design was stitched.  The pic's below show the individual block detail.  It's a stunning result. Sharon, you should show this one!!

The border design provides a nice contrast to the hex shaped blocks:
Here's a close up of just one block.  Believe me, it was difficult to choose.  Sharon made each one unique and beautiful.

Clare's Star Wall Hanging is Finished!!!

Clare made this beautiful wall hanging, for her daughter, I think.  It's a cool pattern. The way it's pieced, the star points have an open edge on one side.  Kind of gives it a 3D look when it's all said and done.  I like it.  A lot.

We used a variety of patterns on this quilt, but feathers were the theme de jour!
The stars were treated to a touch of variegated silver metallic thread.  Perfect!

It's #6 for Julia!

The final quilt of a series of 6 is now finished!

All 6 have different quilting designs.  I couldn't possible pick a favorite!

Hollie's Quilt is finished!

Hollie made this beautiful quilt in shades of fantastic fall colors!

An elegant feather and curlicue design was applied inside the borders.  Each of the other two borders received their own design.
Hollie picked out the most beautiful shade of gold thread for us to use.  She doesn't really care for variegated threads, so her selection was made from our collection of  Sew Fine from Superior Threads.  A similar shade was used on the back.  This quilt is now reversible!

Jennifer's Quilt is finished!

Jennifer made this beautiful quilt for her Aunt.  The red and gold fabrics are exquisite.  Jennifer requested that we quilt in the Chinese symbol for longevity.  This is a one of a kind quilt.  Enjoy!

We used gold metallic thread on the top and a gold thread from Superior Threads Highlights line on the back.

Fun facts to know and tell:  There were 309,375 quilting stitches  taken.  That's 2,148 feet of stitches!  WOW!  But guess what?  The silk batting that we used keeps this quilt very soft and drape able.  Not stiff like you might expect with all that quilting.  It really is beautiful.

Julie's Irish Chain is Finished!!

Julie made this gorgeous King size Irish Chain as a special gift for a very lucky someone!

The batting Julie selected was Dream Wool.  Dreamy indeed!!  I can sooo picture this quilt on my bed!  The quilt design was a fairly dense pattern that was stitched inside the narrow green borders.  Then, we framed the quilt by stitching in the ditch on both sides of this green border.  I think this technique adds such a nice touch to your quilt.  Here's a close-up of this detail:
Here's one more-- the light was pretty bright coming in  the window!

Linda's King Size is Finished!!

Linda made this beautiful quilt in all shades of cremes and reds.  On a quilt retreat, I think.
Because this quilt will be used as a bed quilt, wool batting is the perfect choice.  100% Washable, warm in winter, cool in summer---what could be better?  Plus, it keeps this king size quilt from that super heavy feeling.

The quilting design was a beautiful feather pattern.  We chose an Ivory colored thread from Superior Threads King Tut line.  Long Staple Egyptian cotton - the best you can buy!

A bold move indeed:  A light colored thread on the red backing.  We wanted this quilt design to show!  The tension needs to be perfect to pull this off.  Our customers notice and appreciate that the Bears always have perfect stitch quality!!

Peter's Quilt is Finished!!!

Peter made this beautiful wall hanging for his daughter.  It might also be used as a quilt.

It was custom quilted using lots of different designs and several thread colors.
Here's some detail of the borders:

The blocks were crosshatched with a curved edging; the sashing received a vine design with a few flowers:
Here's another closeup of the pieced border.  The quilting designs were made especially for this interesting border:

Custom quilting is always challenging but fun.  Centering pieced backings can be a tricky proposition on a long arm frame--Johnny does this better than anyone I know.

Happy Birthday!!!

Linda made this cute as button baby quilt for her granddaughter Caitlyn.  It's her 2nd birthday! Linda's combination of Minke backing fabric and silk batting produces the most luxurious look and feel!

It was custom quilted with feathers,  crosshatching and stars.  Here's the center blocks:

Detail of Borders and cornerstones:

This quilt will only look better and better each time it's washed!!
