Julie's Quilt is Finished!!

Julie pieced this adorable floral table topper.  The quilting design is called Pretty Posies by Tammy Finkler.

Margaret's Yellow Brick Road Finished!!

Margaret pieced this Yellow Brick Road so beautifully!! She did something that I have not seen done before, and I really like it.  Instead of attaching the narrow inner border the conventional way, she actually appliqued it in place.  I outlined this narrow border, and it really popped!  I know it must have been a ton of work to do it this way, but worth it!
The quilting design we chose is called Bloomingdale from our Ann Bright Collection:

Here's a shot of that appliqued inner border:

Cynthia's first of two quilts is finished!!!

Cynthia's mom pieced this beautiful Blue and White Quilt.  I know she will treasure it always.

A beautiful feather meander was used to quilt it:

The two new bears finially got over their shyness and discovered the quilt:

Susan's Quilt is Finished!

I didn't think this baby quilt could get any cuter.  But wait!!! This quilting design called Classy Curls iced it!

I love these curls!

Kyoko's Quilt is Finished!!

Kyoko pieced this cute daisy quilt for her daughter.  It was so much fun to quilt!  As usual, Kyoko's work is excellent!!
The quilting design was  all daisies!  It shows up really well on the back:

Erin's Quilt is Finished!!

Erin did an amazing job piecing this Hens and Chicks quilt.  And the colors---oooh, aaah:

Erin requested an allover quilting design with a neutral color thread.  We used a design from our Deb Geissler  collection.  The thread was a King Tut called Flax.  You can see a bit more here:

Jan's Transition Quilt is Finished!

Jan pieced this beautiful Transition quilt in shades of lavender Batiks.  The quilting design is called Paradise by Ann Bright.

 It really shows up here:

I used a shade of thread from Superior's Rainbow line called Seashell.  I call it my Tofu thread, because it picks up whatever flavors are happening. You can see what I mean here:

Oink!

Margaret pieced this cute little piggy quilt for her grandaughter.

I'll never look at bacon the same way.

Splendido!

Linda's Quilt is called Florentine, and it's a beauty!  Hobbs Tuscany Wool batting gives the perfect dimension to the quilting.

The thread we chose was a  high sheen  Gold  from our Superior Rainbows collection.  Perfetto!

Lisa's Quilt is Finished!

This adorable quilt will be for sale at Thimble Pleasures in Chapel Hill.  The fabric also!

This quilt is perfect for a baby or childs quilt! It's quilted in yellow thread with flowers and swirls that really showcase the fabric.  There's lots of quilts for sale at Thimble Pleasures.  If you need an idea for a quilt, go check them out!

2008 Thimbleberries Club Quilt

Melba was referred to Three Bears from the wonderful folks down at Wish Upon a Quilt.  Lucky us.  This quilt is a beauty!  The piecing is simply perfect.

We used an all over feathering design that shows up here:

We l-o-v-e these baby quilts!!

Linda made a total of three baby quilts (one got away before we could get a photo).  Both of these have a solid white Minke backing---soooo soft and cuddley!! Linda picked out the quilting design for this one.  It's called Flutter-by by Ann Bright.  We used Hobbs Tuscany Silk batting for a luxuriously soft and drapable hand.  Three Bears now carries Silk and Wool from Hobbs Tuscany collection of battings.

The Minke back really shows the quilting design

This quilt is for a baby girl.  The Beatrix Potter fabric is too cute for words.  The thread was from our Superior Rainbows collection, and is called Seashell.  Rainbows is a high sheen variagated tri lobe poly that simply sparkles!

The quilting design is called Simple Posies by Tammy Finkler.  It really shows up on the Minke backing:

Donna's Quilt looks fabulous!

Donna pieced this queen size Hens and Chicks.  We love the colors she choose

The quilting design is called Goose Down.  You can see more of it here:

Sharon's Second Quilt is finished!!

What a way to start the New Year!  Sharon made another variation of a OBW, this time with a solid black border.  We followed the hexagon assembly, placing designs within each triangle.  This will make a stunning wall hanging!

 Close Up of Quilting Detail

We changed to black thread to quilt the triangles

Sharon's First of Two Quilts is finished!!

Sharon brought me a stunning OBW.  Together we selected top and bobin thread, quilting designs and batting.

Here's a close up of the dimension you get with Hobbs Tuscany Wool

and one more

The backing fabric was pieced in a way that showcased the fading from dark to light.  Here, you can really see the Ginkgo designs

As George Clooney would say........

Good Night and Good Luck!
Happy New Year to everyone from Margaret and Johnny.

Nancy's two quilts are finished!

Nancy has a way with reproduction fabrics.  And I'm convinced she could sew a perfect 1/4" seam blindfolded.  Really.

Norma's Photo Quilt is finished!

Norma and her daughter pieced this oversize queen photo quilt for a dear family member.  They used a variation of Jacobs Ladder, inserting the photos.

The photos were carefully outlined and detailed using Whisper Touch thread, while the remainder of the quilt was treated to a beautiful floral design in Alabaster thread.

Here's a close up of the border detail.

Zig Zag is Done!!

Kim pieced this beautiful and spunky zig zag quilt.  She requested the quilting to be straight lines that followed the zig zag piecing.  Next, she selected the perfect  variagated blue thread from our King Tut Collection.  Let the Zig Zagging begin!

As long as you're here, you must must must check out this Website.  Kim and her husband are the owners of Spoonflower located in Mebane, NC.  They produce custom printed fabric on demand.  Go on, take a peek!  I can't wait to order some fabric with the Three Bears Logo all over it!  I'm thinking Tote Bags, Yoga Mat Carrier, Quilt Backs, etc, etc etc....Get your custom on!!
