Christina's Quilt is Finished!!

Christina pieced this beautiful Mama's 4 Patch.  I think it's a baby quilt for a good friend of her husband.

The backing is a beautiful pink Minke.  It steals the show!!

 

Lynn's Very Very Cute Baby Quilt is Done!!!!!

Lynn pieced this baby quilt for some friends that live overseas.  When I grow up, I want to piece like Lynn.  She's perfect.

Margaret's granddaughter's Quilt is Finished!!

Margaret's granddaughter picked out all the fabric for her quilt.  We love her choices!  Now this is a happy quilt!

The Quilting design is called "Botanical Blossoms".  It's from our extensive Ann Bright collection.

 

Happy Birthday!!!

Linda pieced this beautiful man quilt for her son's 27th Birthday.  It's all Batiks with a yummy flannel back!!!!  Together we  chose  quilting designs that picked up on the fern motif in the fabrics.

The narrow gold border was SID as well as the blue border.  A leafy swirly continuous design  was stitched in the outer dark border to really frame this quilt:

My guess is that he will love the back as much as the front:

 

   

Giant Dahlia is finished!!!!

Cynthia's Mom made this Giant Dahlia some years ago.  She had taken a class at Alamance Community College, but never got around to quilting it. After careful planning and layout of quilting designs----the reveal:

The back is beautiful.  I had it hanging up to take photo's and a customer remarked that it was a beautiful whole cloth quilt.  Yes, it sure is!

 

  

Jean's Quilt is Finished!!

This beautiful quilt was perfectly pieced by a good friend of Jean's.  I auditioned a variety of quilting designs and finially settled on a combination of different patterns.  I'm pleased with the outcome.  

Here's some detail:

I switched to more of an elaborate feather design to frame the quilt.  The thread was "Fig" from Superior's King Tut Line.  It's a very suttle variegated using shades of green.  Perfect! 

   

Star Spangled Banner!

Anna Pieced this beautiful American Flag Quilt using X-Blocks.   I must admit, I have no idea how to use this tool.  Maybe Anna will teach a class soon with this quilt. 

We used lots of wavy lines for the stripes.  This flag is really waving!!

The narrow inner Border was SID, while the outer border received a unique chevron design, carefully following her piecing.

 

Magically Delicious!!!

Marion pieced this cute as a button baby quilt.

We quilted it using a design called Lucky Charms.  The design has---you guessed it---hearts, moons, stars and clovers.  Come to think of it, that was my favorite cereal as a kid.  

  

Janice's Flower Quilt is finished!!!

This quilt is simply perfect!  Janice and I chose the quilting designs and thread together.  The Quilt will be on display at Wish Upon a Quilt in Raleigh, where you may purchase the pattern.

Very Hungry Caterpillar is finished!!

Marsha's  Very Hungry Caterpillar will be finished in time for her daughter's baby shower.  You can't believe how cute it turned out:

Julie pieced this adorable floral table topper.  The quilting design is called Pretty Posies by Tammy Finkler.

Margaret's Yellow Brick Road Finished!!

Margaret pieced this Yellow Brick Road so beautifully!! She did something that I have not seen done before, and I really like it.  Instead of attaching the narrow inner border the conventional way, she actually appliqued it in place.  I outlined this narrow border, and it really popped!  I know it must have been a ton of work to do it this way, but worth it!

The quilting design we chose is called Bloomingdale from our Ann Bright Collection:

Cynthia's first of two quilts is finished!!!

Cynthia's mom pieced this beautiful Blue and White Quilt.  I know she will treasure it always.

I didn't think this baby quilt could get any cuter.  But wait!!! This quilting design called Classy Curls iced it!

Kyoko's Quilt is Finished!!

Kyoko pieced this cute daisy quilt for her daughter.  It was so much fun to quilt!  As usual, Kyoko's work is excellent!!

The quilting design was  all daisies!  It shows up really well on the back:

Erin's Quilt is Finished!!

Erin did an amazing job piecing this Hens and Chicks quilt.  And the colors---oooh, aaah:

Erin requested an allover quilting design with a neutral color thread.  We used a design from our Deb Geissler  collection.  The thread was a King Tut called Flax.  You can see a bit more here:
