Splendido!

Linda's Quilt is called Florentine, and it's a beauty!  Hobbs Tuscany Wool batting gives the perfect dimension to the quilting.

The thread we chose was a  high sheen  Gold  from our Superior Rainbows collection.  Perfetto!

  1. I love the quilting design in the blue nine-patch....are there two designs interwoven? It is so intricate it almost looks Rococo. Tuscany batting gives so much texture...I quilted a baby quilt with Request this weekend...pancake city!

  2. Actually, it's the same quilting design in every block. It's from One Song Needle Arts.

The border fabric was cut from horizontal striped fabric. I followed random lines in the fabric for a piano key border. I don't think I got a photo of the border, but it was a neat effect on this quilt. Provided the right amount of contrast to all the quilting in the body of the quilt.
