Two Batik Quilts for Jean are finished!

These quilts, along with many others, will be delivered August 1st to Thimble Pleasures in Chapel Hill.  We'll also be picking up quilts that you'd like to have quilted.  If you'd like to meet and discuss your quilt in person, call or email Margaret for a personal appointment time.  Or, you can always leave your quilt and backing with the staff.  Margaret will call you to discuss the details.
The first quilt is called Whirligig.  We quilted a beautiful all over design called feather curlicue.

The second quilt could either be a wall hanging, table topper, or even a bed runner.  For this reason, we chose much more ornate and dense quilting than we would for a typical bed quilt.  Beautiful!

Julia's String Quilt is Finished!

Julia pieced this beautiful foundation pieced string quilt.  When I met with Julia at Thimble Pleasures to discuss this quilt, she was unsure, because of the cloth foundation, if it was suitable for the long arm machine.  Nooooo problem!  It quilted beautifully!

Ruth's Double Nine Patch is finished!

Time to get with the program and post pictures of some of the quilts we've been working on.  Ruth did a terrific job on this double nine patch in browns and blues.  A beautiful feather design was quilted all over.
